Abstract
1343746 Cleaning window blinds NEW CENTURY CLEANING CO Ltd 15 Dec 1972 [24 Feb 1972] 8596/72 Heading A4F Apparatus for cleaning a louvred shutter such as a venetian blind comprises a conveyer 1 for carrying the shutter sequentially past washing means, e.g. inverted "W" shaped spray pipes(31), Fig.3A(not shown), rinsing means, e.g. inverted."V" shaped spray pipes (34), Fig.3B (not shown), and a drying unit 35, means being provided for recirculating the washing and rinsing liquids through the washing and rinsing means, and a drain tank (16), for collecting washing liquid from the shutter between the washing and rinsing stations, is disposed between collecting tanks (15, 17) for the washing and rinsing liquids to be recirculated. The washing and rinsing means are disposed in a housing 7, and the recirculation is effected by pumps 24, 25. In the drying unit 35 air is heated by gas burners (46) Fig.5 (not shown) and circulated by two fans 48.
