Abstract

134,318. Betts, S. Oct. 30, 1918. Razors, safety. A thin razor blade C, Fig. 2, is secured upon a concave bed A by causing holes in the blade to pass over the heads of slotted studs B and then sliding the blade, in a flexed condition, so that solid portions of the blade engage the slots in the studs B. The blade may be locked firmly in position by an extension D<1> of the handle D engaging a hole in the blade. A rib A<6> on the part A constitutes a guard for the edge of the blade that is not in use. Tn a modification in which the handle of the razor is approximately in line with the concave bed, the blade is locked in position by a pin E, Fig. 4, on the serewed-on handle D. In another arrangement, the blade is locked against movement by a pin F, Fig. 7, which enters a hole in the blade and is carried by a spring arm F<1>.
