1342218 Strap tensioners EASTERN ROTORCRAFT CORP 11 Oct 1972 46888/72 Heading F2G In a lever-operated ratchet tensioner for straps 13, (15), a holding pawl 21 is prevented from being released, by a full reel of strap, by arranging a winding pawl (28), so that it is prevented, by contact with the wound strap at 42, from engaging the ratchet, before the wound diameter is sufficiently great for the strap to contact the holding pawl at 40. Winding is thus automatically discontinued and handle 27 can be moved idly about the full reel into a position (C) in which both pawls are released.
