Abstract

1341436 Braked bobbin holder J M NOGUERA 21 Dec 1971 [19 Feb 1971 15 July 1971] 5040/71 and 33379/71 Heading D1J A bobbin holder of the rotary suspension type includes a device that exerts a braking force on the bobbin support that is not dependent upon the weight or size of the bobbin, the device being disposed within an overlying cap. As shown the brake is a non-rotating disc 5 that rests on the rotating bobbin support 3 and acts as a dust seal for a bearing between the bobbin support 3 and a support bolt 2. In modified embodiments a spring forces the disc 5 downwardly. The brake is within a cap 6.
