Abstract

1340282 Dental handpieces having light attachments MEDICAL & DENTAL ELECTRONIC EQUPMENT Ltd 5 May 1972 21182/72 Heading ASR A dental handpiece 2 is provided with a dental light attachment employing a fibre optic light guide 3 which is located within the body of the handpiece with one end of the guide emerging therefrom immediately adjacent the operating head of the handpiece. The other end of the guide may emerge through the side wall of a flexible supply tube 6 or through the side wall of the handpiece, Fig. 1 (not shown). The guide receives light from a source 5 and the end of the guide adjacent the head is mounted in a member 1 which may be screwed to the handpiece. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1,281,054.
