Abstract

1339495 Partitions; facings DAVID H BILL & ASSOCIATES PTY Ltd 4 Feb 1971 3918/71 Heading E1W A readily dismantleable partition or facing includes an elongate floor structure, e.g. 7, an elongate ceiling structure, e.g. 6, and an intermediate panel, e.g. 5 with means thereon for locating and/or supporting the panel at the, upper and the lower edge. As shown, clips 12 are fixed to the upper edge, and the lower edge is formed with an acute-angled L-sectioned flange which engages, via a skirting board 19, with a channel-sectioned member 15 mounted on a lower channel-sectioned member 13 carrying wood blocks 18 at intervals. This latter arrangement allows unevenness in the floor surface to be compensated for. Co-planar panel edges may be interlocked, Fig. 4 (not shown). The panels may be of vinyl coated steel, or steel framed plasterboard. The supporting structures 6, 7 may be of L-seption, supporting a single panel, to form a lining. The clips 12 may be replaced by a continuous edge groove, and the lower channel 13 by a timber member.
