1338908 Preventing corrosion KURITA WATER INDUSTRIES Ltd 7 Dec 1970 [8 Dec 1969 30 Sept 1970] 58013/70 Heading C7E A method of preventing corrosion in a distillatory apparatus producing an acid substance as a condensate comprises adding ethylene diamine, trimethylene diamine, propylene diamine or piperazine or mixtures thereof to the acid substance within the apparatus. The amine is fed in the form of an aqueous solution into the steam passing the overhead of the still column in an amount such that the pH value of the finally condensed water is between 7 and 8.
