Abstract
1338857 (Thio)phosphoric ester dichlorides CHEMIEKOMBINAT BITTERFELD VEB 3 Oct 1972 45590/72 Heading C2P Compounds of Formula I where R is chlorine or chloromethyl and X is oxygen or sulphur, are prepared by reacting an aldehyde O = CH-CCl 2 -R in an organic solvent with phosphorus pentachloride, and reacting the addition compound formed with water, sulphur dioxide or hydrogen sulphide. The solvent is preferably an aprotic solvent, such as benzene, ether or carbon tetrachloride, and the reaction is preferably carried out at a temperature between - 50 and 110‹ C. Preferably, a 3 to 6 molar excess of phosphorus pentachloride is used referred to the amount of aldehyde.
