1338482 Reciprocating compressors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 29 April 1971 [29 April 1970] 12174/71 Heading F1N [Also in Division F2] A compressor inlet valve closure member 7 clamped at 8 between the cylinder 1 and valve plate 3 is provided with peripheral projections 11, 12, 14, 15 arranged to abut recesses 10, 16, 17 in the cylinder or cut-outs in a gasket 2' thereby to limit the valve member's deflection. The valve member controls flow through an arcuate row of ports 4 in the plate 3. The projections inhibit deformation of the valve member.
