1337987 Rotary interrupters JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 12 July 1971 [28 July 1970] 36415/70 Heading H1N A base plate 15a, Fig. 4, for mounting a rotary ignition distributer contact breaker assembly comprises opposed chamferred regions 17, 18 for engagement in a peripheral groove (13), Fig. 1 (not shown), of the housing (11) and has a chordal slot 19 to form an ear 21 at a chamfered region 17, the ear 21 being flexed radially outwards into the casing groove (13) by a tapered screw or hollow rivet inserted into an aperture 22. The plate 15 may have more than one slot 19 and may be cut away at the peripheral region X-X for ease of initial insertion into the casing.
