Abstract
1337491 Bulldozers CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 2 Feb 1971 3670/71 Heading E1F A bulldozer involves a tractor 10 and a dozer assembly comprising a dozer blade 14, push arms 16, which are so pivotally connected to the sides of the chassis of the tractor and to the dozer blade 14 as to be independently movable of one another, and bracing means comprising a single rigid link 26 so pivotally connected to the chassis and the rest of the dozer assembly as to be located between the forward end of the tractor and the blade to extend transversely of the tractor in a substantially parallel arrangement with the blade. Preferably the link is connected to a bracket 28 on one of the push arms and may be connected either directly at 33 to the chassis of the tractor or to a C-shaped frame secured to the chassis to extend about the front of the chassis. The frame may be so pivotally mounted on the chassis and associated with chassis-mounted stop means that limited vertical swinging may take place between it and the tractor.
