1335362 Chain tensioners MAC-LEANFOGG LOCK NUT CO 17 April 1972 [10 June 1971] 17595/72 Heading F2G In a lever-operated chain or like tensioner, actuating lever 10 has a curved slot 23 formed in its shorter arm, so that, on turning the lever about its fulcrum pivot 12, sliding pivot 22 gradually moves along the slot 23 to increase the mechanical advantage of the lever, with increasing chain tension. In the tensioned position, Fig. 7, the pivot 22 and the greater part of the slot 27 have moved to an overcentre position.
