Abstract

1334272 Pyridazinium salts BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 19 April 1971 [27 Jan 1970] 20397/71 Heading C2C Compounds of formulµ wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy, phenoxy, alkylthio, phenylthio, nitro, alkyl, aryl or a radical -NR<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP> in which R<SP>4</SP> and R<SP>5</SP> are hydrogen or aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radicals or form together with the nitrogen atom a ring, and R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> may additionally be hydroxy groups or represent a fused ring or ring system, R<SP>6</SP> is hydrogen or the same as R 7 , R 7 is a C 1-4 alkyl group and X is an anion, are prepared by mono- or di-alkylation of the appropriate N-unsubstituted-6- pyridazone with a dialkyl sulphate, an alkyl aryl sulphonate or a trialkyl oxonium fluoborate at 0‹ to 200‹ C. in an organic non-polar solvent, followed if desired by conversion to the betaine form by treatment with a proton acceptor. The products may be converted to the corresponding perchlorates.
