Abstract
1331221 Aerials ELLIOTT BROS (LONDON) Ltd 15 Jan 1969 [2 Jan 1968] 274/68 Heading H4A In an antenna system, the paraboloid concave collimating reflector, 10, receives energy from the feed, 14, after reflection from the hyperboloid reflector, 16. The feed, 14, is located on the axis, 17, of the hyperboloid, the letter having one of its focii coinciding with the feed and its other focus coinciding with the focus, 18 of the paraboloid reflector. Field distortion is eliminated so as to reduce "bore-sight jitter" and "frequency sensitive squirt". The former causes the beam axis to be dependent upon the polarization of the received energy when the aerial feeder system is designed to receive plane polarized energy while the "frequency sensitive squirt" causes the beam axis to be dependent upon the frequency of operation when aerial is designed to receive circular polarization.
