Abstract

1330508 Prefabricated buildings UNIVERSAL PAPERTECH CORP 19 Oct 1970 [7 Nov 1969] 49499/70 Headings E1A and E1B A prefabricated building consists of inverted U-shaped tunnel sections 8 mounted on a prepared base 1, each tunnel section, Fig. 4, being constructed from a roof section 9 and wall sections 10 with flanges 13, 14 and tabs 16 arranged as shown for interconnection as by gluing, stapling and dowels as shown in Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown). The base is made of concrete and/or wood and the sections 8 secured thereto with the aid of brackets 2. Each section 8 may be made of Kraft paper impregnated board such as waterproofed corrugated board and protected by a suitable coating or covering such as a fibre glass sheet applied over a polyester coating and then itself covered by such a coating. Plywood or wall board may be secured to the inturned flanges 14 to form a cavity wall or one filled with an insulating material.
