Abstract

1330491 Stand heads W VINTEN Ltd 19 April 1971 [6 Jan 1970] 634/70 Heading A4H A tilting mounting for an article, e.g. a camera, has a base 204 and a tilting member 200 pivotally connected to the base, the tilting member having a platform for carrying the article and connected with the tilting member for linear movement therebetween, the mounting having means to move the platform linearly relative to the tilting member when this tilting member is pivoted about the base. As shown, this means is a drum g, mounted on the tilting member, with a cable h wrapped around it, the free ends being attached to the platform. The drum is driven by shaft f having cog c meshing with gear d on the base 204. The drum may be of stepped construction with areas of different diameter so that the stand may be adapted for different weight of articles.
