Abstract

1330109 Propylene diamines; dipropylene triamines BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODAFABRIK AG 19 April 1971 [31 Jan 1970] 22353/71 Heading C2C Compounds of the formula where R is hydrogen or C 1-5 alkyl and n is 0 or 1, are prepared by reacting acrylonitrile with RNH 2 at 40-170‹ C. and 5-350 atmospheres, followed by hydrogenation of the aminopropionitrile at 60-120‹ C. and 100-350 atmospheres, the entire process being carried out in the presence of 5-60% molar of water based on the molar proportion of acrylonitrile.
