1328724 Mixing apparatus JAPAN EXLAN CO Ltd 19 May 1971 [19 May 1970 26 Dec 1970 (2)] 15900/71 Heading B1C Agitation apparatus comprises a tank having rotatably mounted therein a screw blade having a plurality of perforations formed therein, the apparatus satisfying the following dimensional relationships: in which D is an internal diameter of the tank, d is the outer diameter of the blade, d 0 is the diameter of each of the perforations in the blade, S is the pitch of the screw blade and n is the number of perforations in' the blade through one pitch. Preferably at least two coaxially mounted screw blades are provided in the tank, each pair of screw blades being separated by a disc having a diameter corresponding to d.
