Abstract
1326889 Piperidine derivatives KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 28 May 1971 [1 June 1970] 18126/71 Headings C2C and C2P [Also in Divisions C3 and G2] Piperidine derivatives of the formula wherein Y is a hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, oxyl radical, sulphinyl or sulphonyl radical of the formula -SO-R 5 or -SO 2 -R 5 respectively, wherein R 5 is an alkyl or aryl group; R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are alkyl groups or, R 1 and R 2 or R 3 and R 4 , together with the carbon atom to which they are attached, form a (C 5 -C 7 ) saturated alicyclic group or a group of the formula and X is a group of the formula wherein R 6 is a cyano or carbamoyl group; R 7 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R 8 is a phenyl or alkoxy group; Z<SP>1</SP> is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aliphatic or aromatic monovalent acyl group, an N-substituted carbamoyl group, an N-substituted thiocarbamoyl group or a monovalent group obtained by removing one hydroxyl group from an oxyacid; p is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5; when p = 1, Z<SP>2</SP> is a carbonyl group, a group of the formula wherein R 9 is an aliphatic or aromatic divalent organic radical; when p = 2, Z<SP>2</SP> is a group of the formula wherein R 10 is a trivalent aliphatic or aromatic organic radical; when p = 3, Z<SP>2</SP> is a group of the formula wherein R 11 is a tetravalent aliphatic or aromatic organic radical, or, for any of the said values of p, Z<SP>2</SP> is an atom or group of valency p + 1 obtained by removing p + 1 hydroxyl groups from an oxyacid, are used as fading resistants for photographic dyes.
