Abstract

1324130 Sifting apparatus STRAMIT CV 24 Nov 1971 [25 Nov 1970] 54527/71 Heading B2H [Also in Divisions D1 and F2] In an apparatus for opening straw bales prior to manufacturing construction slabs extraneous matter is separated from the straw in the shaking device 28. Shaking members 29 driven by eccentric drives 36 each have a steeply inclined part 30 provided with tines 31 for separating hard objects and a less steeply inclined portion for separating chaff, tailings and grain. Separated matter falls onto a tray 32 and thence to an outlet 33.
