Abstract

1323512 Sample receptacle e.g. for centrifuge TECHNICON INSTRUMENTS CORP 13 Sept 1971 [14 Sept 1970] 42565/71 Addition to 1286207 Headings B1X and B2P A liquid sample receptacle comprises a cup portion 70, a label (carrying) portion 73 spaced from the cup portion and with its long axis parallel to that of the cup portion, a connector portion 72 integral with the cup portion and the label portion and a vessel 82 supported in and by the cup portion for receiving the liquid sample. In the embodiment shown, cup portion 70 has upwardly extending circumferentially arranged resilient fingers 78 with transverse vessel-retaining ribs 80. Vessel 82 may have identifying sticker 84 and stopper 83. In another embodiment (Fig. 4 not shown), the connector portion 72 of the cup has an extension (88) with a downward flange for engagement with a pivot member so that the receptacle can swing outwardly when mounted on a centrifuge type turntable.
