Abstract

1323337 Clips F T PRODUCTS Ltd 17 Aug 1971 39744/70 Heading E2B [Also in Division B6] An assembly of a decorative moulding secured to the edge of a support so as to be slideable therealong comprises as shown in Figure 2 a moulding of C-section 10 secured to the edge of a support 11 with the aid of at least one spring clip 12, the moulding having two flanges 13 and 14, the clip being of U-section with a web 22 and two limbs 20 and 21 in the latter of which are formed prongs which are directed outwardly and away from the web and lugs 25 directed inwardly and towards the web, the edge of the support being formed with rib 18 flanked by two shoulders 19 and 19A, each shoulder being formed with a pocket 27 and 28 of length a little greater than that of the clip, the lugs 25 of the clip engaging opposite faces of the rib 18 with the limbs 20 and 21 extending into the pockets in the shoulders and the moulding 10 being engaged by the prongs of the clip. Preferably the lugs on the clips are formed with rounded edges so that the clip and the moulding to which it is attached can slide along the edge of the support.
