1323308 Reducing copper oxide; annealing wire ZAVOD TASHKENTKABEL 19 Nov 1970 55008/70 Headings C7E and C7N [Also in Division B3] The oxidized surface of a copper or copper alloy article is reduced by contacting it with water, steam or an aqueous emulsion containing at least 0À15% of ethyl alcohol. Steam and ethyl alcohol may be used in an annealing furnace both to protect copper wire and remove oxides.
