1322512 Azetidinones FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 9 Sept 1970 [9 Sept 1969] 43155/70 Heading C2C Novel compounds (I): where R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> signify H or C 1 to C 12 alkyl and B is the radical of a nucleophilic reactant of formula BH are made by reacting (II) (R<SP>4</SP> is H or an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical of up to 10C) with BH or a salt thereof. (I) exhibit antibacterial and fungistatic action, especially an antimycotic effect; pharmaceutical and fungistatic preparations containing (I) as active ingredient are described.
