Abstract
1320990 Photographic cameras BALDAWERKE PHOTOGRAPHISCHE GERATE U KUNSTSTOFF R GRUTER K G 3 May 1971 [4 May 1970] 12691/71 Heading G2A A photographic camera having a mount 2 for a percussive type flashcube is provided with a firing pin (5) Fig. 1 (not shown), linked by a non- linear linkage to a release slide 25 which is actuated by a release button (27). The linkage (as described, a pin 23 of the slide 25 and slot (22) connection) is such that a small initial displacement of the slide 25 produces a large displacement of the pin (5), which is stopped by a spring operated switching device 14-16, 19 and 20 when in contact with the firing spring (8) of a flash-bulb in the flash-cube, and the final shutter opening movement of the slide 25 causes the final small displacement of the pin (5) to operate the firing spring (8). In use, operation of film winding mechanism will rotate the mount 2 and position a tensioning lever 29 with its stop surface 39 against a fixed stop 38, thus partially tensioning a spring 31. Depression of the slide 25 moves the lever 29 in the same direction bringing lug 35 thereof into contact with a lug 36 of a plate 37 and also tensions the spring 31 and also the transmission member 19 via the pin 23 and slot (22) in the flange 21 of the member 19. This small initial displacement of the slide 25 produces a large rotation of the member 19, which in turn moves the pin (5) into contact with the firing spring (8), and also via a stop 46 and torsion spring 45, (forming a second switching device) rotates a locking lever 43 through 90 degrees. If the flash-bulb has already been fired, the pin (5) will not be stopped and the locking lever 43 will be rotated further so that the latter lies in the path of a lug 42 of the slide 25, thus preventing the latter from reaching the shutter release point. Assuming an unused flash-bulb is present, further depression of the slide 25 causes the lug 35 to slip off the lug 36, thus the tensioning lever 29 springs back, due to the spring 31, causing nose 30 to engage a shutter blade and nose 40 to hit the arm 16 to simultaneously fire the bulb and open the shutter. In another embodiment, Fig.3 (not shown), there is no automatic locking of the release slide (25) if a used flash-bulb is present, but the spring (20) is sufficient alone to fix the flash-bulb.
