Abstract
1320838 Snap-action switches AMF Inc 25 Nov 1971 [14 July 1971] 33079/71 Heading H1N A micro-switch has a box-like housing 20 Fig. 1 with three terminals 27, 28, 29 mounted in one long side wall 23, the terminal 29 being notched to pivotally support a contact carrying arm 52 movable between fixed contacts 64, 65 on the middle terminal 28 and the opposite end terminal 27 respectively, the latter being bent around the free end of the arm 52 to provide a face opposing that of the bent end of the middle terminal 28. The switch may be actuated by the weight of a coin engaging the end of a wire (43) Fig. 3 (not shown), mounted externally of a pivoted cam actuator 34, 35 co-operating with a curved lever 48 pivoted at one end 49 in the casing 20 and coupled at its free end (59) via a tension coil spring 50 to the free end of the contact carrying arm 52. The terminals are notched as at (67) Fig. 12 (not shown) for location on a rib of the housing and are retained in position by a cover plate attached by screws through holes 37, 38.
