Abstract
1320148 Catalytic reformer furnace HUMPHREYS & GLASGOW Ltd 22 July 1970 [6 Aug 1969] 39312/69 Heading B1F In a catalytic reformer furnace, catalyst tubes arranged in rows are individually connected by pigtail shaped pipes 29, Fig. 4, to an inlet header, and each row of tubes is suspended as shown in Fig. 3, where 50 is a constant force spring, 36, 44 and 48 are pivoted beams, and beam 39 is suspended by a pair of cables 53 having two pairs of adjacent ends, one end of each pair being attached to a fixed upright and the other end of each pair carrying a weight so that the cables exert a constant upward force on beam 39.
