Abstract

1318294 Flexible chamber rotary pumps P ROSENBERG 21 Aug 1970 [9 Sept 1969] 40270/70 Heading F1F A flexible chamber pump comprises a pair of contra-rotating rotors 92, 94 supporting rollers 102, 104 around which is mounted under tension a continuous belt 106 the width of which is the same as that of the chamber 90 in which the rotors are located, the chamber 90 having semicylindrical ends 90', 90" which are engaged by the belt 106 under the action of the rollers 102, 104 to displace fluid from an inlet 98 to a coaxial outlet 100. The rotors may have more than two rollers, Fig. 2 (not shown), and are synchronised by a pair of intermeshing gears 108, 110.
