Abstract
1318150 Regenerating oils INSTITUT FRANCAIS DU PETROLE DES CARBURANTS ET LUBRIFIANTS 8 June 1971 [8 June 1970] 19509/71 Heading C5E Used oils (e.g. lubricating oils) are regenerated by mixing with a light paraffinic solvent, separating into clarified oil/solvent and residue/ solvent fractions, distilling the first fraction under a lower pressure than the preceding operations, redistilling at a lower pressure still, adding a viscosity-lowering agent (e.g. hydrocarbon cut) to the second fraction and distilling under the same conditions as the first fraction.
