1317236 Preparation of 2-aryl-as-triazine- 3,5(2H,4H)-diones PFIZER Inc 8 Oct 1971 [7 July 1971] 47070/71 Heading C2C A process for the preparation of 2-aryl-astriazine-3,5(2H,4H)-diones comprises contacting 2 - aryl - 2,3,4,5 - tetrahydro - 3,5 - dioxo-astriazine-6-carboxylic acid with at least a 0À1 molar proportion of mercapto-substituted hydrocarbon carboxylic acid or C 1-6 alkyl ester thereof until the reaction is substantially complete. Pharmaceutical compositions of the above products are active against coccidiosis when administered orally with the usual excipients or in the feed.
