Abstract

1315677 Boxes NEW MERTON BOARD MILLS Ltd 7 July 1971 [21 July 1970] 35310/70 Heading B8P A box has inturned flanges 14 at the top of a pair of side walls 4, the flanges 14 having extension straps 16 which extend externally of the box and have tongues 18 with hinged lateral wings 22 which are folded for insertion into apertures in the other side walls and are opened inside the box to hold the straps in position. The other side walls comprise outer walls formed from panels 6 and inner walls formed from interlocking extension panels 8 of walls 4 and have inturned flanges 24 at the top. The panels 8 have slots 12 which in the erected condition of the box are coincident with apertures formed by L-shaped slits 26 in the panels 6 to form the apertures through which the tongues 18 extend. The box may be of fibreboard lined on both sides with polyethylene.
