Abstract

1315449 Releasable fastening A L HANSEN MFG CO 2 June 1971 [2 June 1970] 18688/71 Headings E2A and E2B A load holding device comprises an elongated guide 10 having spaced abutments 18, a slide 12 slidable along the guide to any selected one of a plurality of positions adjacent the abutments, the slide having a raised portion 22 which is accessible when the slide is adjacent the abutments and an S shaped hook 14 attachable to the raised portion 22 and retained stationary by the abutments. The guide is channel shaped with inturned lips 16 and with a series of cut outs providing abutments 18. The slide 12 slides in the channel and when the raised portion 22 is aligned with a pair of cut outs, the hook 14 is insertable beneath the raised portion and is retained by the adjacent abutments 18. The guide is attachable to a support by screws passing through countersunk apertures 20. An alternative slide 24 is shown providing a second opening 26 for supporting another hook for attachment to a load by a rope or the like.
