Abstract

1314589 Making steel sheet; altering physical properties; working at specified temperatures NIPPON KOKAN KK 17 July 1970 [28 July 1969] 34692/70 Headings B3A and B3V [Also in Division C7] Extra deep drawing steel sheet is produced from low carbon rimmed steel by rolling to a reduction greater than 80% in the following sequences: (a) a first cold rolling at a reduction of 50-80%, (b) decarburization annealing at 730‹ to 750‹ C. for carbon contents less than 0À07% or annealing at 650‹ to 730‹ C. for carbon contents between 0À07 and 0À11%, (c) a second cold rolling at a reduction of 40 to 85%, (d) a final anneal at 780‹ to 820‹ C. for carbon contents less than 0À07% or decarburization annealing at 750‹ to 800‹ C. for carbon contents between 0À07 and 0À11%. The preferred carbon content is from 0À03 to 0À11%. Examples and graphs are given showing the variations of normal and planar Anisotropy (r, #r) with varying first and second reductions.
