Abstract

1314168 Garment hangers NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 6 July 1970 [15 July 1969] 35476/69 Heading A4U [Also in Division B8] A hanger 4 for transporting garments such as shirts and coats from a cleaning station to a table on which the garments are folded (see Division B8) comprises a spine 7 supporting a slide 8 having a pair of pivotal garment supports 9a connected to a pair of pivotal rods 10 on the spine 7. Each hanger 4 is provided with a lever 12 having an upper crank 14 for engaging an abutment (4a) Fig. 1 (not shown) on the table to cause rotation of the lever so that a lower crank 13 is disengaged from beneath the slide 8 to allow the supports 9a and rods 10 to collapse and be withdrawn from the garment. Members 11 allow the hanger to be supported from a conveyor.
