Abstract

1311980 Coating apparatus SPOTNAILS INC 24 July 1970 [30 July 1969] 35928/70 Heading B2L [Also in Divisions C3 and F2] Staples are coated with an adhesive composition in the apparatus illustrated in Fig. 6. Tube 21 supplies the coating to reservoir 22 through which the staples 24 are passed, being guided along the bar 25. The undersides of the staples are coated with adhesive passing through holes cut into the bar. Excess adhesive is removed from the emerging coated staples by wiper 28.
