Abstract

1311448 Yarn tension feeler ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 22 Oct 1971 [4 Nov 1970] 49112/71 Heading DID A yarn tension feeler, particularly for open end spinning machines comprises a lever 2 biassed against a thread 18 by a magnet 7 the force of contact being set by an axially adjustable further magnet 20 disposed opposite the magnet 7. The lever 2 is pivoted at 5 and mechanically engages a clutch 4 to disengage it from a driven gear wheel 12 and hence stop feed of sliver 17 by a feeding roller 16. When tension falls in yarn 18 being delivered from a tube 19 the end 220 of lever 2 clamps the yarn against a stop 21 preventing untwisting. An electromagnet coil may be disposed about the magnet 20 which when activated displaces lever 2 to release the yarn 18 as for instance in automatic piecing up, Fig. 3 (not shown).
