Abstract
1309308 Alloys GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 18 Dec 1970 [9 Jan 1970] 60135/70 Heading C7A A cobalt base alloy for use in gas turbines comprises: with the balance Co and incidental impurities. The cast alloy may be heat treated at 2150‹ F for 4 hours, air cooled, and then treated at about 1700‹F for 10 hours, furnace cooled to 1000‹F and air cooled, or it may be heated at 2275‹F for 4 hours and air cooled, heated at 2100‹ F for 12 hours and air cooled and then heated at 1700‹ F for 24 hours and air cooled. A third heat treatment comprises heating at 1800‹ F for 24 hours and air cooling.
