1308523 Hydraulic reciprocating motors RIVA-CALZONI SpA 3 April 1970 [8 April 1969J 15909/70 Addition to 1246647 Heading F1A In the hydraulic motor of the parent specification, comprising a plurality of radial, telescopic piston and cylinder units 1 engaging a cam 2 and a housing member 3 each having a part-spherical surface, the telescopic members 4 and 5 have annular extensions 7 and 8 making direct sealing contact with cam 2 and member 3 and formed with annular grooves 7a, 8a vented by radial passages 7b, Bb. The engaging surfaces of the cam 2 and member 3 or extensions 7 and 8 may have a layer of metallic material to prevent seizure. The internal diameter of the extension 7 is less than the diameter of the sliding surfaces of members 4 and 5, so that the hydraulic pressure in working chamber 14 biases the members 4 and 5 apart to engage cam 2 and member 3.
