Abstract

1308432 Article dispensing apparatus WARMEX Ltd and A GOLDSTEIN 19 April 1971 [8 Jan 1971] 1004/71 Heading A4T [Also in Divisions A5 and B8] A hand drying appliance comprises a cabinet 1, Fig.1, containing an electric heater and blower blowing hot air through opening 4 and a magazine 5, Fig.3, containing a vertical stack T of paper towels with a movable dispensing member 7 for engaging the lowermost towel in the stack and moving it laterally through the cabinet towel outlet 6. Member 7 is moved by motor 10 controlled by switch 13, by a coin or by actuation of a photo-cell on placing the hand at opening 4. The member may be moved by a lever outside the casing, may have tines passing through slots in a stack support 18 or may be replaced by a pin or friction roller 16, Fig. 6, driven by belt 17 from the motor.
