1307455 2<SP>1</SP> - Hydroxy - 3 - phenylpropiophenone derivatives W PETRICK 7 July 1971 31984/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds I: in which R is n-propylamino, n-butylamino, 1- methylpropylamino or -t-butylamino and their acid addition salts are prepared by reacting the sodium salt of 2<SP>1</SP>- hydroxy-3-phenyl-propio phenone with 1 -chloro-2,3-epoxy-propane to give 21 - (2,3 - epoxy - propox) - 3 - phenyl- - propiophenone and reacting this with RNH 2 . Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a compound I together with an excipient suitable for oral or parenteral administration and are useful as coronary dilators and local anaesthetics.
