Abstract

130,719. Baker, F. W. July 4, 1918. Compression-spoke wheels; spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metal springs other than helical and volute springs; spokes, securing.-The spokes comprise three arched members a<1> of wood or metal with the convex sides secured to the hub by sleeves d. The spokes have approximately the same radius as the rim b, and the outer portions provide pairs of curved spokes having an angular spacing of approximately 120 degrees at their connexions c with the rim. The ends of the spokes may be secured to blocks of rubber contained in housings on the inner surface of the rim.
