Abstract

1306875 Platform elevators VEREINIGTE FLUGTECHNISCHE WERKE - FOKKER GmbH 24 April 1970 [25 April 1969] 19924/70 Heading B8H The control of the height adjustment of a work platform 3 is carried out by a control device 5 mounted on a frame 1 supporting a ram 2 and a drive unit 6, the platform 3 being connected to the device 5 by a cable 4 which is wound on a drum (7), Fig. 2 (not shown), the cable 4 also serving as an electrical conductor for actuating the drive unit 6. When the platform 3 is elevated the drum (7) rotates and drives, through a worm gear 8, a shaft 9 on which cam-wheels 10 for actuating switches 11 are mounted. A cam-wheel 10<SP>1</SP> which controls the height extension of the platform 3 is connected to the shaft 9 via driving-wheels 12, 13 co-operating in a clutch manner which can be released by a knob 14 and the wheel 10<SP>1</SP> then rotated to allow the setting of a limitation on the height extension of platform 3. The cam-wheels 10 operate the drive unit 6 to ensure uniform speed during movement of platform 3.
