Abstract

1306485 Badminton racket with a T-joint YONEYAMA RACKET KK 6 Jan 1972 [3 Dec 1971] 598/72 Heading A6D The end portions 21, 22 of the frame and handle shaft 30 of a badminton racket are connected by a T-shaped joint 10 in which orifices in the transom 11 are separated by a partition wall 15 integral with the joint. As shown, these orifices each have two opposed projections 13, 14 which engage in grooves (23, 24) (Fig. 4, not shown) in the frame end portions 21, 22 which are of elliptical transverse cross-section. The shaft 30 is received in a further orifice in the leg 12 of the joint 10 and both shaft and frame are secured to the joint by adhesive with the frame ends abutting the partition wall 15. Eyelets 50 of synthetic resin are provided in apertures in the stransom 11 and frame end portions 21, 22 to receive stringing gut.
