Wire couplings.-A branch wire f is connected to an uncut feed wire g by means of a connecting- plate h having upturned edges m, h which enable the bared wires to be held in position between the shanks of the set-screws i, j and the upturned edges while they are being secured by the setscrews, the whole joint being enclosed in a cylindrical insulating-casing made up of two parts a, b one of which is slotted to receive the insulated feed wire and formed with an external screwthread to receive the other part of the insulating- casing.
