1302310 Lift doors INVENTIO AG 15 Dec 1971 [30 Dec 1970] 58313/71 Heading B8L A lift door assembly comprises a parallelogram linkage 14 mounted on the or each lift cabin door 21, 22 for coupling the respective cabin door to coupling means on a corresponding lift shaft door when the cabin is positioned opposite thereto and actuating means for holding the linkage in either a travelling position in which the shaft door coupling means are not engaged by the passing linkage 14, and an opening position in which the cabin doors are opened more than a predetermined amount only when the cabin doors are coupled to shaft doors. Each linkage 14 comprises two parallel bars 14.1 pivotally coupled by levers 14.2 and biased apart by a spring 14.3, the bars 14.1 being opened and closed by a locking lever 21 pivoted to the upper parallelogram lever 14.2 and having a roller 14.4 at one end engageable with a bar 18 whose vertical movement is controlled by a crank wheel 6 through a drive arm 19. The crank wheel 6 is operated by a motor 4 on the cabin and through crank arms 8 and 9 open and close the cabin doors, the initial part of rotation of the wheel 6 causing opening of the linkage bars 14.1, which if the cabin is opposite a lift shaft door, engage between a pair of pins thereon and the shaft doors open with the cabin doors. If however, the cabin is not aligned with a shaft door, the linkage bars 14.1 open beyond a limit and the upper end of the locking lever 21 becomes aligned with a stop 22 on the cabin whereby the door opening is restricted. In this condition the cabin may be moved up or down to a shaft door and tapered ends on the bars 14.1 engage between the pins on the shaft door whereby the bars are closed up and the lever 21 is pivoted out of alignment with the stop 22. In another embodiment, the parallelogram linkage bars are spring biased together and engage a single pin therebetween on the shaft door.
