Abstract

1301361 Ventilators ERNSTROM & CO AB 8 April 1970 16660/70 Heading F4V [Also in Division F2] In a ventilating device comprising a shutter 1 connected to a frame 2 by means of co-operating suspension bracket members 3 and 4, the shutter is adjustably movable between a closed position in which a seal 14 on the shutter butts against the frame 2 and an open position in which a peripheral air gap is defined between the frame and the shutter. The bracket member 3 which is fastened to the frame is provided with a projecting pin 3a movably received in an inclined slot 7 formed in the bracket member 4. An arrangement comprising a first member 9 having an inclined grooved surface 12 and a stop 13, and a second member 8 carrying a cam 11 is provided to lock the shutter in the desired position. Blocks (17, Fig. 2) 18, 19 of heat and sound insulating material are attached to the frame and to the back of the shutter. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 10-13, not shown) the bracket arrangement permitting the shutter to be moved between open and closed positions comprises a first bracket (28) having a helical groove (35) therein and pivotally mounted on the shutter, and a second bracket (29) secured to the frame and provided with a pin (38) adapted to follow the helical groove. Rotation of the first bracket by means of a key introduced through a hole (39) in the shutter effects opening and closing thereof.
