Abstract

1300580 Colour embossing W V MERCER 28 Sept 1970 [21 Oct 1969] 51454/69 Heading B6J A badge or button bearing a central circle 5 and three surrounding rings, all of different colours is manufactured by colour blocking in four successive operations using different coloured foils. The colour blocking is effected either directly on the badge or button base 2 or a backing sheet 3 which may be stuck to the face and the "blocked" design is covered with a protective film 7 of polyurethane in a further step of the process. The polyurethane may be tinted.
