1300565 Unpacking bottle crates CANTRELL & COCHRANE GROUP Ltd 11 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 60674/69 Heading B8C In a method and apparatus for removing and erecting in an upstanding position, two interfitting horizontal arrays of bottles from a loaded crate 1, two crates on conveyer rollers 10 are pushed by ram 22 into the lower compartment of an open-ended double box-structure 11a which is then rotated through 180 degrees to invert the crates, ram 23 then pushes the inverted crates into bay 24 where a tilt frame 42 raises the crates, leaving the bottles resting horizontally on two base/side-plate sections 25, 27 and 26, 28 which are then rotated through 90 degrees by ram 30 to erect the bottles, and finally plates 36, 37 and rams 32, 33 push the bottles laterally on to conveyers 31.
