Abstract

1298320 Powder feed assembly SEALECTRO CORP 7 Sept 1971 41700/71 Heading B2F [Also in Division B8] A powder feed assembly comprises a housing 26, 28 containing a powder reservoir 30 and a fluidizing chamber 50, a sump 48 at the lower end of the reservoir together with a screw conveyor 46 to take the powder from the reservoir to the fluidizing chamber, a first conduit 51 to supply carrier gas to the fluidizing chamber, a second conduit 74 to supply fluidized powder to a flame spray gun or plasma gun, a rotatable valve in a housing 62 to rapidly vent the pressure in the fluidizing chamber intermittently, and a third conduit (59, not shown) to equalize the pressure in the reservoir and the fluidizing chamber.
