Abstract

1298185 Making burners JOH VAILLANT KG 7 June 1971 [14 Sept 1970] 19223/71 Heading B3A [Also in Division F4] A conical burner plate 8 (see also Divisions F3-F4) is made from a circular sheet metal blank 17 having a sector-shaped cut-out to which blank 17 straight sheet metal strips 11 with longitudinal embossings 12 are spot welded, the assembly of blank 17 and strips 11 being deformed together and hard soldered at the edges 18 of the sector-shaped cut-out to form a cone. Apertures 16 are formed in the blanks 17 to act as main flame ports while chambers 15, defined between the blank and the strips 11, and apertures 13 formed in the blank constitute flame retention ports.
